Our Mission: To educate K-8 students of the Sierra foothills through a self-motivating, individualized and comprehensive Montessori education. Students will engage in critical thinking, be creative, show respect for self and others, and ultimately become competent, responsible citizens who are life long learners and skillful problem-solvers.

Sierra Montessori Academy (SMA) is a K-8 California public charter school offering a Montessori education to students in the Sierra foothills. Sponsored by the Twin Ridges Elementary School District, SMA is tuition-free and open to the public through an entrance lottery and open enrollment.
